Hand-Building Workshops

Pottery Painting Parties
Our 1.5 hour pottery painting sessions are ideal for groups of 4–12 people, and especially suited for younger artists (ages 5 and up) or those new to clay. Select a piece of hand-crafted pottery made in studio by our team of talented ceramic artists.
Includes:
Underglazes (paints), clear glossy glaze, kiln firings and use of brushes, tools and good vibes!
Pick a pot or 2 to decorate!

Pinch Pot Parties
Keep it simple and get your hands in some clay! Pinch pots are an easy, approachable way to make something from scratch, with no pottery experience needed. Shape your own little bowl, cup, planter or creature, then add texture, stamps and custom details to make it your own.
This is a more casual, self-guided option, perfect for kids, mixed-age groups, or anyone looking for a shorter and more affordable clay activity.

Wheel-throwing Workshops
Take our wheels for a spin and learn the basics of pottery in a relaxed, hands-on studio environment. Perfect for beginners and curious creatives.
For groups of 4–12 people (ages 12+)
Workshop Options:

✷ 2 hours — $110/person (up to 2 pieces)
✷ Groups of 6+ may choose to keep 1 piece for $90/person, or 2 pieces for $110/person
Private Wheel Experience for Two
A little more personal, a lot more muddy! Enjoy a hands-on pottery experience for two with dedicated guidance from one of our instructors. Perfect for date nights, special occasions, or simply sharing something creative together. No experience necessary!
✷ 2 hours — $200/person (up to 2 pieces each)
✷ 2.5 hours — $250/person (up to 4 pieces each)

Group & Party Bookings
From casual clay days to private parties, find the right fit for your group.
Just making pottery
If your group is simply coming in to paint, pinch or make pottery and then heading elsewhere for the rest of your celebration, you can book at our regular activity prices.
No additional party fee.
You’re welcome to come in together as a group. Simply choose the activity that works best for you and book as usual. No special group booking is required.
Hosting a party
If you'll be having cake or snacks, opening gifts, bringing decorations or otherwise using MUD as your party venue, a party booking fee applies in addition to your chosen activity.
Up to 5 guests: $50
6–8 guests: $75
9–12 guests: $100

Large + private events
Planning for 13+ guests, exclusive use of the studio, or an event outside regular opening hours? We'll work with you to find the best setup for your group.
Pricing is based on group size, activity, timing, staffing and space requirements.
Private event fees start at $250 + activity costs.

Booking Details

Party bookings include 2.5 hours of reserved party time, including pottery making or painting, cake or snacks, gifts and time to gather your belongings before departure.
You’ll also have access to your reserved area 30 minutes before your booking for setup and decorating, plus space for cake or simple snacks, additional setup and cleanup, and extra staff support for your group.

MUD remains open to other customers during regular party bookings. Your group will have a reserved area, but not exclusive use of the studio unless arranged in advance.
For groups of approximately 20+ guests, bookings requiring exclusive use of the studio, or events outside regular opening hours, private event pricing applies.

Groups of 13 or more are considered large group events, with pricing based on group size, activity, staffing and space requirements.
A deposit is required to secure large group and private bookings and is applied toward the final balance unless otherwise stated.
For large groups or private events, contact us with your group size, preferred activity and date and we'll help determine the best setup.

For instructed workshops such as wheel throwing or hand-building, additional party or event fees may not apply unless your booking also includes food, cake, gifts, additional event time or private use of the space.

Outside cake and simple snacks are welcome for party bookings. Please keep food, gifts and belongings within your reserved area.
Full meal setups, confetti and glitter are not permitted. For everyone’s safety, running in the studio isn’t allowed. There are lots of breakable things around!
