Please note:
There is a $10 minimum charge if you prefer to pay per piece. Prices vary depending on how much we have to fire that week and how much space your items take up. Prices per piece are estimated at around $2-6 each.
Shelf rates are based on a 21-inch round kiln shelf and a maximum height of 8 inches. Taller pieces may occupy multiple shelf levels and will be priced according to the total kiln space required.
Half- and full-kiln rates reserve the corresponding amount of usable kiln capacity. The exact number of shelves will vary depending on the height and shape of the work.
We have 6 full 21” round shelves and 10 half shelves (Skutt KM1027 and L&L e28-T - both 7 cubic feet).
We can fire anywhere between cone 022 and cone 6, but typically fire to cone 06 for bisque and cone 6 for glaze. Lustre/low firing charges vary.
Please ensure you understand what cone your clay/glaze needs to be fired too. If your clay/glaze melts onto our shelf a fee will be applied.
We also have an 8×8” mini kiln for tests or quick turn around time frames which fires for $20 per firing.
PLEASE CLEAN THE BOTTOMS OF YOUR PIECES BEFORE BRINGING THEM IN TO FIRE. IF THEY STICK TO THE KILN SHELF YOU WILL BE CHARGED ANYWHERE FROM $25-$150 DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF THE DAMAGE.
