8 weeks - Thursdays from 6:00–8:30 pm

You can comfortably throw cylinders and bowls on your own. Now you’re ready to build on those foundations, refine your throwing, and explore more complex forms and projects.
Level 3 is designed for potters who have completed Level 2 or have equivalent wheel experience. You do not need to consider yourself an advanced potter to join. Returning Level 2 students, studio members, and more experienced throwers are all welcome, with individual goals and challenges adapted to each student’s skill level.
Depending on your experience and interests, you may work on taller and narrower cylinders, larger bowls, bottles and vases, plates, lidded forms, or projects that combine several different throwing and assembly skills.
We’ll also explore more involved forms such as teapots, bringing together skills like throwing multiple components, lids, spouts, handles, proportion, and thoughtful assembly.
The eight-week format gives us more breathing room to practice, troubleshoot, repeat forms, and take on projects that can feel rushed in a shorter course.
Our instructor will offer demonstrations based on the group’s interests, goals, and abilities, with plenty of individual guidance and room for more independent exploration.
✷ Students have access to $10, 2-hour practice drop-ins with unlimited clay during the course.
✷ Includes all supplies: firings, 35+ studio glazes, underglazes, use of tools, and unlimited clay.
✷ Each student receives a studio guidebook to borrow for the duration of the course, with infographics and step-by-step instructions to support practice outside of class.
